BREEDER guarantees that the puppy described above is a purebred Scottish Terrier, and that the litter is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). Breeder cannot guarantee adult size, color, hair coat, temperament or trainability of the puppy.

BREEDER warrants that this puppy has been wormed and vaccinated in accordance with its age, and both parties agree that it appears healthy at this time. Breeder does not assume any liability for any injury or neglect after buyer takes possession of the puppy.

BUYER agrees to have this puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of delivery. If, after examination by a veterinarian acceptable to both parties, the puppy is determined to be in poor health, puppy may be returned to the seller along with a written report from the veterinarian. The seller will either replace the puppy with another puppy of the same sex and value, or, at seller’s discretion, a refund may be given. At no time will the seller be responsible for any veterinary fees incurred.

BUYER realizes that the purchase of a live animal carries with it the risk of contracting bacteria or viruses that are not in the control of either the seller or buyer. Beyond the 48 hour health guarantee, the seller offers no guarantee on infectious disease. No guarantees are given against Coccidiosis, which can be brought on by the stress of being shipped or placed in a new environment.

BREEDER warrants that this puppy is free from any hereditary conditions which would affect its suitability as a pet, other than those described above, for a period of 3 months from the date of sale.

BUYER agrees that if, at any time, the buyer cannot take proper care of the puppy, or it is no longer wanted, the buyer must contact the breeder. BREEDER is willing to take this puppy back from the buyer at any time during the puppy’s lifetime. All AKC registration paperwork must be returned as well. However, seller will not refund any part of the purchase price. Once the puppy leaves seller’s property, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

If you have read and agree to this contract, a non-refundable deposit of $200.00 will be required to hold your puppy. Puppy must be picked up no later than __________________, and the remaining balance paid in full at that time. If puppy is not picked up as agreed, a boarding fee of $10.00 per day will be charged. After 30 days, the puppy may be resold without written notice, or refund of any monies previously paid.

I, the BUYER, have read this agreement carefully, and understand that it is a legally binding contract.
