Banana Nut Bread
Almost everybody likes banana nut bread! Make plenty for sharing with friends, but
remember to save a loaf for your family!
Ingredients:
3 cups margarine
6 cups sugar
8 eggs
6 cups banana (1/2 cup per banana)
2 cups sour milk
1 1/3 tbs. vanilla
1 1/3 tbs. baking soda
1 tbs. salt
9 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg, banana and milk. Add the rest of the ingredients in the order given and mix well.
Put in ungreased pans.
Bake at 325 degrees 20-30 minutes, or until bread tests done with a toothpick.
Hint: When you find bananas on sale, peel, and place in a baggie in the freezer in 6 cup portions. (1/2 cup per banana) Thaw right before baking.
